Congratulations to our two newest Licensed Landsapers – Jamie Patterson from Transforming Landscapes and Dean Von Barany from DVB Australia. The numbers are growing more and more members obtaining their building registration and becoming Licensed Landscapers.
More and more landscapers are realising the need to become licensed landscapers by gaining their limited registered builders license and the association is running free seminars for members to assist them in the application process. This week Martin Semken of Semken Landscaping and Sean Dowling of Bayon Gardens were the latest members to gain their building practitioners license – congratulations to you both!
Landscaping Victoria members Jenny Smith Gardens did themselves and the Australian landscaping community proud with a gold medal win at this months Singapore Garden Festival, Asia’s equivalent of the Chelsea Flower Show. Andrew Seccull and the team at JSG were the only Australian company invited to exhibit at Singapore together with representatives from 9 other countries.
Their winning concept was to create a tranquil, resting place for Mazu the Goddess of the Sea featuring a grove of sacred banyan trees, massed orchids and a gold tiled water trough for water lillies.
Phil revealed his Chelsea design to Chisholm TAFE students last week and in typical Phil style nothing is done by halves! Imagine a billabong in the NT crossed with a Phil Johnson flourish and you’re half way there. This will be Wes’s eighth foray at the famous garden show and to date, likely to be the biggest. Follow Phil’s journey to Chelsea at http://phillipjohnsonlandscapes.blogspot.com.au/
Franklin Landscape Design & Str8line Landscaping made themselves proud with their quality landscaping work on the recent series of The Block. Dave Franklin constructed the beautiful courtyard for brothers Andrew and Mike, and Chris Early constructed this weeks featured landscapes in The Block House for Dan and Dani. Great work guys.
Congratulations to Shane Gardner from Victorian Landscape Group for achieving his building license. Looking forward to keeping you updated as more members become licensed. Great for the industry! Well done Shane.
